1. Check the directory where you upload files in FTP client, read the FTP upload help cos the places are different for GR and PD
2. After upload close the FTP client
3. Open item upload page – you must see your files there.

I had before a few cases when after finishing everything on item upload page and submiting the file, I received the same error message but the file was in my dashboard.
