I didn’t knew in which category this should be posted so if it’s wrong category I’m really sorry. Now I have a background file here: http://graphicriver.net/item/glowing-abstract-background-15-colors/79111
What I want to do is add 15 more JPG ’s (with new color variations) in total to this file. I know we can update the file. I’m not sure if I shall do it since I’m not updating the file but adding more files in this set. Would really like to know what I shall do. Shall I create a new file with all the colors or update the same one?

I would contact support with this question as adding more file might affect the price

Hey RainCutter,
I would update the file. If you feel the price needs to be adjusted, please get in touch with your site manager or a support staff member and we’ll be more than happy to adjust the price. The reason why I am saying this is because, Variations will only be accepted for sale if they offer a distinct new use to buyers.

thnx for the reply TPN . the new variations will surely give them something extra to pay their money for. But yeah I will just update the file; the preview and thumb so that people might be able to see what’s new in it. thnx again for the reply.
Just wanted to bump this to ask if this is still okay to do?
Basically, if you wanted to add extra content to your main upload – it’s okay – and then contact support for a price review?
How do you tell if something should be in it’s own upload? I.E. How different does it need to be? If you did say…a certain set of b/w Illustrator patterns, and uploaded – coloured versions of the same patterns should be added to the original upload? Or, likewise – extra b/w patterns different to the originals but similar in style?
Thanks.

I would like to know that as well, thank you.
I found this link about packs (official) http://wiki.envato.com/selling/tips-selling/graphicriver-file-packs/
And some more posts by searching in the forums for ‘updating files’. But I’m still a bit unclear on it….
Here’s the thing – you can’t anticipate every client/buyer need as you’re creating something (well, maybe some people can
)
So – if you want to add more….and more…similar (useful) things later on (e.g. patterns/styles etc) – what IS the best way to do this?
Is it case by case – in which case (‘scuse pun) – should we always email support about it first?
Thanks again.
