Hello i´m starting this thread because of a recently accepted Logo Mockup on Graphicriver. It is an obvious rip-off from other (popular) mockups and shortly after it appeared there were already more than 5 people pointing out in the comments that it is 100% stolen.
To that time it had 0 sales. Well, how is it possible, that now, 2 days later, the file is still up and even has 6 sales ?
Submiting a ticket isn´t the best method in my opinion because it would just take too long. Why can´t it be implemented that if more than 10 authors flag the file for being a rip-off, the item will be publically marked (warn buyers) and the stuff will get a mail.
One doesn´t need any qualification to identify that some items are completly stolen… We just need someone to take them down before they start getting sales…
I have reported the item immediately and staff responded shortly (real message, not automated) but the item is still there and getting sales. Sorry Envato but this looks like you are supporting this shameless behavior. One thing that is bugging me about those stolen items are the earnings, what happens with them if the thief gets banned?
What kind of training are the reviewers going through if they approve this kind of copies of very popular files?
I’m surprised this item got approved anyway. I’ve also sent a support ticket.
Flag is a good idea! +1
The problem is that stolen files get approved without blinking and some designs are rejected saying that they are similar to others from the market when they’re not.
You’ve got my vote. Make it only visible for authors.
Excellent idea h3design!

I remember in the old time there was definitely a Report button, near your “© All Rights Reserved” line in the item page. Somehow during the adjustments of the item page it seemed to be removed.
I have seen the one you mentioned in the topic. What makes me really sad is how this got approved while many other author worked and got themselves rejections for similarity…
It is still up… Do Forum Mods have the ability to take down items ? i think they don´t, right ? There should be some selected mods who are able to do this…
Seems like the delete button is hampered.
