Hey, Gareth, very interesting info, thanks for that.
It is a good reference point, I think the prices are in US only, maybe some Europe countries too, but in my country there are much less budgets, specially in film industry.

Yup, you’re absolutely right. Should have mentioned these figures are relevant mainly for US and UK,

:D

Yup, but remember, the user always has the option to upload their work here. As for Audiojungle missing out on that income, that is solely on them. Not much we can do apart from point it out!

Haha, yep, we’re pawning ourselves off here, but I like the community and I hated working for those advertising twat-cheeses directly. Those kinds of figures are also to do with your connections and luck – assuming you’d get 100k+ from an ad is unrealistic in my experience.

When I was doing ads regularly, I got a few commissions that got me around 6-8k per ad each year, but the really big budgets got cut into by music production houses, creative agencies and the 3 billion other middlemen between us composers and the work. Plus, the politics involved (mates of mates saying ‘give me the job and I’ll pass you 20%’ was a common set up I found).

Like Gareth says, ‘the user always has the option to upload their work here’. The only problem is that it’s hard to get into libraries that do pay bigger returns without knowing the right people. I do wish things were priced higher here TheSecession as well, don’t get me wrong.
