Hi guys

Its been about 2 months since I uploaded anything so this is the first time seeing the new upload progress bar probably…. now this is not a post about why was it changed but more of a one about how the hell does it work as Im not getting much sense from it.

So last night I checked the source of the dashboard to see what the percentage of the bar was, I found out it was a 32%. Then a hour later I checked again and it was at 34% then 30 minutes after that it was back at 32%...

During the night I uploaded another item in the exact same category…. at time of going to bed the first file was at 34% again and the new file at 4%. When I woke up this morning and checked the progress of the two the first was at 39% and the second at 10%

And now I have just checked again and Im seeing the first file is still at 39% and the second at 12%.

This can’t be all from people dropping out of the queue… so what is going on?

I think it’s best to ignore the progress bar. I know it’s frustrating, but I guess it’s just an approximate reflection of the reviewing. As long as your item is reviewed in a decent time, it’s fine. Just my thought.

I personally feel that it doesn’t make the review process transparent as it should be.

The only way I can see that the above could be happening is if files inbetween my two files have been deleted or accepted… the whole process behind it seems very unclear to me now

Yes, I know. It’s been debated before, but it’s just not healthy to check the percentages, because you can’t do much about it at this point. I think they said that the reviewing queue is still work in progress.

LOL ok

but ‘work in progress’ is for a dev area not a live environment ;)

I understand you too. Remember, we’re all in the same shoes. As I said, I’m fine with the queue, as long as my files are reviewed in a decent time, that is up to 4 or 5 days.
