How does that whole www thing work? How does it disrupt or ‘pollute’ search engine results? Someone please explain, I never understood this concept![]()
Search Engines regard www.yoursite.com and yoursite.com as two sites. Therefore generating duplicate content and penalization.

I’m pretty sure you can set this all up in google webmaster tools, but this is a valid point, personally I opt for the www, as some clients freak out if the site has no www in the url.

I think this is the case for subdomains (sub.yoursite.com) but I haven’t heard the above before.
