So if there is not action included, how do we transform it to the final icon image?

Just bought it with the Bundle and a little bummed that I can do anything with it.

Hi Pete,

Thanks for your comment and for downloading Envato Birthday Bundle.

Due to the amount of details and multiple styles and options designed within the PSD file, there are currently no automated actions available.

The key is to set and customize your very own icon by toggling on/off layers and groups (frames, glows,...) and to select a provided glyph, or to import your app logo or glyph before export.

Thanks for the response.

I have the layers figured out, but how do you make the background transparent (the corners)? Can we save it as a png? Or what are we supposed to export it to?

You need to export and upload a full square image as it is required by Apple guidelines.

Rounded corners and cropping are automatically generated by Apple when submitting in iTunes Connect. (You can preview the final aspect of the icon by shift-clicking the mask on top group in your layer panel).

I bought this. Unfortunately I was expecting something different. Apologies of my total ignorance, but how do I customize and make my own unique icon. I installed a trial version of Photoshop CS6 . How do I go from there. Thanks.

I’m sorry that you were expecting different. I’ll try to help you create your own icon accordingly.

App Icon Generator is anything but an “automatic art creation” so you will need to play with Photoshop layer panel.

The key is basically to set and customize your very own icon by toggling on/off layers and groups in the panel (frames, glows,...) and to select a provided glyph, or to import your app logo or glyph before export.
