Brilliant __

I am curious… Is it entirely drawn “by hand” or is it some sort of processing?

@binocle: I’m guessing Photoshop’s brush engine has been put to heavy work.

Very cool effect, Alex!

You can create something like this with Photoshop’s brush settings – “scatter” for the leaves and “color dynamics” for the trunk. The size variation is made with a tablet’s pressure sensitivity.

But good luck getting such a nice illustration easily, it takes a good eye to get something so nice :)

Hello guys, sorry for not getting back to you. My computer was down for maintenance for the longest time…

It’s just standard PS brushes. I have a tutorial that covers the style. Check out the tree section.

@B4rKod3

– thanks for helping out. no tablet needed. you change your pressure sensitivity to fade and input a value.
