Hi there, id like your work, but cant use it!...little confuse with the layers and how to place my art…can you help please. Thank you

dvhughes

Sure. Just look for YELLOW layers. They are your smart object layers which you past your art into. Double click on those.

It may help to go to my video. http://youtu.be/tjLIojHkJeM

Take look at that and it should make it much easier.

(No need to watch the last part of the video when I start to talk about the background and “vanishing point” at 9:03. The file you have does not use the vanishing point in the background. The background in your file is a simple smart object and works just like al the others.)

So since I have not heard back from you since my reply, I can assume that everything is good. Would love to see what you did with it!

COLOGNESHARK ,

I am embarrassed and very sorry for your difficulty.

After doing much searching for the answer to your problem, I have discovered that this file is in fact, NOT compatible with CS3 . The “Perspective” transform command that was used to create the smart object, is not supported in CS3 .
I truly apologize for this oversight and will change the compatibility in the item description.

I will go back and update the file to fix the issue and you can download it again once it is available or… feel free to contact support to request a refund.

(Since you are using CS3 , If you could do me a great favor by trying to place all the smart objects (disc, spine, cover) in both Jewelcase and Digipak files and tell me which ones don’t work, I would be forever grateful. It would take the guesswork out of fixing the compatibility issues a great deal easier and would be happy to make it worth your effort.)

Very very sorry for your waste of time and money.

Hi! Awesome job! Just wondering if you’re working on a digipak that can also display the interior, tray and rear panels. Very interested…please let me know. Thanks!

Hey. I wanted to keep you guys updated and let you know that I am currently in the middle of another project that came up suddenly and really haven’t been able to make much progress on the Digipak mock-up yet. It is in the works, but it is on the backburner for now. I should be able to pick it back up again by the end of the week. I haven’t forgotten about you guys. Stay tuned.

Hello, I agree with defclub, excellent job. I logged on to find the same thing: “digipak that can also display the interior, tray and rear panels.” Extremely interested, too.

Hey defclub and tbp007,

Yes, I wil definitely start working on that for you guys. Its a great idea and truly appreciate the suggestion.

It could take a couple of weeks to get it completed and approved, but I will get started on it right away.

Besides what you both mentioned, anything specific you would like to see included?

Sit tight…

Thanks again,

dvh

Thanks for responding so quickly and for starting to create a mockup for this…I really appreciate it so much! You’ll be the only person that I know of with a full digipak mockup!!!

In a perfect world….this is asking a lot…I’d love to be able to display: Front panel, perhaps angled slightly to include the spine. Rear panel, which I guess can also show spine. And then a splash page for the opened digipak, with both the ability to display the disc in the tray and to hide the disc and see the tray panel art. I hope that makes sense. Can also use your existing digipak mockup for the alternate view of the front cover and disc.

I’d certainly be happy to pay a good amount for such a comprehensive mockup!!!

Thanks again! J

Outstanding piece of work, the attention to detail is stunning. Worth every penny and more.

Awesome comment and REALLY appreciated! Very happy that I spent the extra time to try and make it perfect and even happier that you noticed.

Currently working on more. Thanks.
