Hi. Is there any way to make this work in CS3 by any chance?

dstreet

Hi. Thank you for your purchase. Yes, it should work just fine in CS3 . Let me know if you have any other questions.

How do you do it in CS3 ? The CS2 instructions do not match up 1 for 1 as far as I can see.

The tutorial was made using CS4 . I wasn’t aware that there was any major difference in how you would add swatches in CS3 . Here is the documentation from Adobe: http://livedocs.adobe.com/en_US/Illustrator/13.0/help.html?content=WS714a382cdf7d304e7e07d0100196cbc5f-6282.html

The files .ai and .eps does not open at Illustrator 5.5. I mean, it does open, but no content is loaded—just a blank page. It’s so frustrating! I tried at three different computers already.

There is no artwork on the artboard. All of the patterns have been made into pattern swatches. There are detailed instructions in the help.html file showing you how to import these swatches into your project. If you are still having trouble, please feel free to send me a message, and I will be happy to send you a file with the patterns on the artboard, as opposed to just swatches.

True, I realized it after some time. It would lead to less confusion, maybe, to have them at the art board as well. I could break the link from the symbol and the vector and edit it easily, but it would be faster to have them there already :)

Can these patterns be used in Photoshop?

dstreet

The package contains PNGs of each color option at 3 different sizes(150px, 200px, and 300px). These files can easily be opened in Photoshop, but you won’t be able to edit them.
