Fast Transparency

Does this only work for single-colored backgrounds (is it necessary to define a color to get rid of?) or for pics with a “difficult” background, too? Is there a help file? Could you explain a little bit further how it works, please? I´m interested…

This will be useful for white, but is there any way you can key it to other colors? I’d gladly pay 5$ for being able to choose what color to take out.

I think I’m going to download and give this a shot. If it works as well as you say it does it should be absolutely wonderful.

After buying the product: Here is my review.

This software works very similar to a green screen chroma key, just make sure the object you are using is not wearing white, as it will fade out the white part of the object. It works great on objects with almost no white on them on a perfectly white background.

Many of the pictures you find on google with a white background often have shadows. This add-on does not render out the shadows, but still saves you time rendering out the bulk of the object.

Despite it’s drawbacks, here is the kicker: It works on hair. Providing there are no shadows, it will render hair nicely. Unfortunately, it doesn’t give you the ability to feather some selections, so sometimes the hair comes out rather choppily. If that were added, it would make this add-on much better. The images shown in the examples are what this addon does best, render out objects on perfectly white backgrounds.

While it does have it’s limitations, it’s still a huge time saver for all of those idiots who render out pictures on google and post them as a .jpg with a white background rather than a transparent png.

Anyway, I’m glad I purchased it, it’s no substitute for rendering by hand, but the results on objects are good enough and it saves me tons of time. Well worth the 5$ I paid;

Could one not remove a background of any colour instantly with the Colour Range filter? I could understand this Addon if it could remove any background, however complex, but the fact that it only does something that Photoshop can do anyway makes me think it probably isn’t worth $5…

But.. What is the difference with Magic wand?

I guess it is also really simple to make it without using an action, and it can work with every color you want, however nice thought, its a nice thing to make it as an action couse there are photoshop users that need isolate a lot of objects and this might work well and save time

I Have to tell i’m desapointing with this one

I bought it because the com’s and the product say: for cut withe BG and as a webdesigner I tell to myself that I will save time.

I try it on a pic with pur white on background but I realise that after the action my pic keep BG that look like a white with transparency look like 3-5%

I wanted these for helping me to cut off ALL the white not for keeping a thin layer white on the BG.

Need to make it all by hand if I want a 100% transparency…

i know how to get it to work. you simply cant use this on a cloloured backround. only a white one which makes it quite useless.

Bought this specifically for white backgrounds. Please note, it works on white backgrounds only from what I have seen. Braedon’s comments above were spot on and gave accurate advice. Really happy with what it does.
