+4 moreVery cool
Thank you!
JUST bought this and USED it on a very quick turnaround job! GREAT ! Thanks!
VERY happy to hear that! I hope it’ll be of continued use to you! Don’t forget to rate
Hi. I installed the plug-in in CS5 . It is not working. I can’t see it in the filter menu. Can you please help?
Hi georgianajem,
as stated, this is not a filter, it is a Photoshop Action. You need to import it to your actions (a simple google search will tell you how, it’s very very easy), and you will find it in your Actions panel
Just purchased and loaded into CS5 . Seems to work but I get two messages during the action: “crosshatch not available” and “graphic pen not available”.
Please advise of fixes. Thanks.
Have you read the readme file, and applying the effect to a one-layered file?
This seems to happen on TIFF files only – OK for PSD /JPG. They are all single-layer files. Any thoughts on varying the effect other than adjusting opacity?
Thanks.
I’m afraid my only suggestion would be to convert the file to the PSD format first. My only guess is that for some reason some of the effects can’t be applied to TIFF files, though no idea why. When I have some time later this week, I’ll try and do some research on it myself. The effect will largely depend on the colour (or rather, how similar colour the different areas are) and contrast of your original layer, so to vary the end result, mess around with the original layer, mainly in Levels or Curves
Just purchased and loaded into CS5 . Seems to work but I get two messages during the action…”Impossible to handle the following files” with jpg or psd please can you help me ?
I’m afraid I’ve never encountered, nor heard of, that error message, and even a Google search brings up absolutely zero results for it, so I have no idea what that means. Could you be more specific? When does this happen, in what part of the action? What effect does it have on the action?
Thanks for the reply. I generally work with PSD files – it just so happened that the first one I tried was a TIFF . This doesn’t present a problem. I like the action – just playing around now to try to get different effects.
It’s weird that there would be an issue with TIFF files, but maybe Photoshop can’t handle certain filters on them… as I said, I’ll investigate
I’m glad that otherwise the action is working well for you, and I hope with a little playing around, you get the effect you’re looking for
Trying it out, but can’t get it to create anything close to what your examples show. I’m new to PS, so are there any better tutorials on who to use this. The things you created in your examples are awesome. Please help
The effect will vary depending on your original photograph. Generally sizes around 1000-2500 pixels are good, and you should try to mess around with contrast, lighting and colour to get different results when running the action.
is it possible to send you screen capture please ??
Sure, feel free to send me a screenshot, just contact me through the contact link on my profile file, and I’ll reply back with an email address to contact me on. Then, if you wish, you can also send one of the files you’ve tried on, so I can see if everything works as it should.
Hi, I’m getting the same issues as others have reported. Crosshatch not available and graphic pen not available. I read the other comments and made sure I was using a .psd file as well. Not sure what to do.
Thanks for your help.
And you have read the README file, and made sure you’re using it correctly? If yes, feel free to contact me through the mail system on my profile, and I’ll get back to you later today with an email address you can send the file too, and I’ll gladly see if I can replicate the problem. Please also include information on the version of Photoshop you’re using, language, and so forth
I’ve tried several times to get it to work no luck yet. Converted orig to psd 8 bit (BTW crosshatch and graphic pen don’t work in 16 bit) but comes up with pattern not defined ( I put action in actions folder and pattern in to patterns folder) ??? OS 10 .5.8 CS5 .1 Ext JoeCairo757
Hi Joe, can you please send me an email at philip [at] mentalmirage.com with the image you are trying to use, and I will run the action and see myself.
If you could also send me a low-res version of the photoshop file, with your file included in that, the way you set it up to use the action, that would be great. That way I can be sure everything is like it should be.
I cant get it to open
It doesnt show up in my filter list
It’s not a filter, it’s a Photoshop Action. You need to unzip the zip file, and the in your Photoshop Actions menu, you need to import the Action. After that, please read the README file for how to use it.
Exelente!! Muchas Gracias.
I use it in video and it works great!!!
Glad to hear you are enjoying it!
Hello,
It’s a beautiful work!
I’m a photographer and can I use it for my photos to sell?
Thanks!
