This is great! Although I have had an error in the action, maybe cause I am running CS6 ?

mrcharlesbrown

Hi dear, it works for CS6 . Please read the instruction file inside the ACTION folder so that you will know how to change the location of HDRToning.jsx inside your computer to work with CS6 . But if you don’t understand how – email me through my profile. I just bought CS6 so I will do changing and send you the updated file.

Thanks!

Hi there,

I just purchased your “HDR Legendary Special Edition | 60 Actions | 2 of 2” and ran into a few snags. I’m running CS6 and followed your instructions closely to modify the addresses as you described but I’m receiving the following errors when I try to run an action.

(1) -The object “RGB channel of layer “Main image”” is not currently available. Then, -Warning: No pixels were selected.

(2) -The command “Copy” is not currently available.

(3) -The command “select” is not currently available.

Did I miss something?

mrcharlesbrown

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Please watch this video (it will properly show you how) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z29L6ttw3o4

If you still cannot get it right, please let me know. I will do it and send you the file.

Best regards.

wow, that sucked, that is some video, let’s try this again only I’ll start with this sentence; I AM NOT GETTING A JAVASCRIPT ERROR but instead getting these errors when I run an action-

(1) -The object “RGB channel of layer “Main image”” is not currently available. Then, -Warning: No pixels were selected.

(2) -The command “Copy” is not currently available.

(3) -The command “select” is not currently available.

After all that wasted time I am NOW getting the javascript error the video is intended to correct and I suspect it’s because I started from a place where my addresses were correct as I stated in the previous message.

mrcharlesbrown

Lol I am glad you got it sorted out.

You got the ‘No pixels were selected’ warning because u didn’t click/activate the layer/image you want this action to use for the HD conversion. Simply click on the layer thumbnail of the image and play action – it will render perfectly.

Please let me know if everything is ok now.

Best regards.

thinkwebb

I think I have it working but I get the message “The command “Copy” is not currently available.” at the end of the PRO HDR Conversion action.

mrcharlesbrown

What is your Photoshop language interface?

thinkwebb

English

mrcharlesbrown

There is probably something you aren’t doing right. Can you record a video of the rendering process? Let me see if there is something you may have skipped or altered in the action.

thinkwebb

OK, I’ve emailed you an .mp4 video of the process and thank you for your ultra fast responses they have all been amazingly quick!

thinkwebb

Email didn’t work so I sent a dropbox link, you may have to download it to be able to view it clearly, it’s only 2.5mb.

mrcharlesbrown

Thanks for recording the video. You skipped one file. Please load the TOOL (TPL) file before running the action. Although it is not important because it is a brush tool for ‘Soft Brush’ auto-select for getting rid of any glowy edges as a result of the HDR conversion.

Best regards.

thinkwebb

Yes, I didn’t load the added tool first, everything seems good now, thank you for your awesome support!

mrcharlesbrown

Thanks buddy!
