This is a very clean design. It is very versatile and is easily adapted to whatever your subject matter. Anyone with very basic Indesign experience can easily modify this for there own needs. Highly recommended. Great job.

Thanks Equestremag! I’m glad that you like it. Hopefully more to come ;)

My Indd CS4 and my Indd CS5 didn’t open the layout, I succeed with the idml, can you tell why ? Thanks.

BoxedCreative

No Problem. The main file was created in InDesign CS 5 .5. InDesign CS4 will not be able to open CS 5 .5 files so in order for it to do, I have to “down save” it to CS4 . Hence that’s the IDML file which you have successfully opened! Here is a little more info: http://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/save-indesign-files-previous-versions.html

The file didn’t not come with Fonts. Is there any way that I can access those?

BoxedCreative

If you open the help file that came with the template then you will find all the download information for the fonts under the heading FONTS .

For this template: Template Magazine 02 say in the help file either before the purchase that all fonts are “FONTS: All fonts used are free to download (See links in help file).” But this is not true many are paid. Therefore ask you to have all the fonts for free or updating the template with fonts totally free.

BoxedCreative

I’ve replied to your email. All the font information is in the PDF download help file!

Hi,

I purchased the V1, template, but it’s not opening.

Also let me know how V1 is different from V2?

Does this open in MAC systems? or MAC softwares are required?

Kindly help, so we can do the magazine asap.

Cheers & thanks.

I have sent you an email. Please check and follow through. Thanks.

Thanks for purchasing the magazine template. The template will open in InDesign from version CS4 and above. To open in CS4 and CS5 use the files that end with .idml and to open in CS5 .5 and CS6 use the file that ends with .indd

It will open on a Mac and PC.

The main difference in V1 and V2 is the layout and format of each magazine template. V1 was designed with the aim of the standard and traditional off-the-shelve magazines which can be used for any kind of business/industry. Whereas the V2 version is more of a contemporary and clear-cutting edge magazine keeping in mind industries like architecture, interior and furniture, business and telecommunications. But saying that it can be still be used for whatever business/industry depending on how you want to adapt your own content. It all depends which template you think will work best with your type of business/industry.

Hi i am looking to publish both digital and printed versions of my magazine but the size will be a5 do you have a set of templates for this? br Kelivin

BoxedCreative

The size for the printed version is in A4 and US Letter. No A5 sorry.
The digital format for the iPad/tablet comes in 2 formats:
NON-RETINA: Portrait & Landscape: 1024px x 768px
RETINA: Portrait & Landscape: 2048px x 1536px
You would have to resize the A4 to fit your needs all be it with size amendments :)

Help! I can’t open this template in cs4, even though that’s the minimum requirement listed. First, I get a “missing plug-ins” warning (SharedContent InDesignPlugin) then, when I try to open it, I get a “Cannot open file, please upgrade” message. Thanks.

BoxedCreative

Try opening the files that end .idml You are opening CS5.5 files :)

Yikes – thanks! Works like a charm now that I’m opening the right file… ;)
