I can’t access any of the customization options in office 365. I’ve looked and googled everywhere. Please help!

Good document however could of done a pages version for mac users as it shuffles the template around when opened in pages

Summary: If you are buying this for the Word document, do not buy it. It’s a waste of money.

The template looks really pretty and I really wanted to like it, but I bought this because it said it “comes with both InDesign and Word” versions, but the Word version is completely useless. The author didn’t use any of the Word’s features. I was expecting to have styles in Word, but there are none. The author just put all the paragraphs and headings in Textboxes and Shapes, no paragraph styles, no customization, no tables. He didn’t use properties for company name and similar stuff (though in his defense, he did use Text Variables in InDesign). I understand that he wanted to provide a Word version to improve his sales, but this is really low quality in my standards.

That screenshot doesn’t show much but I’ll take your word for it. The problem about the styles might be related to Office 365. Did you check your template on Office 365?

The rest still holds true, unfortunately. I expected that you created the template in Word using columns, custom bullet points, custom page margins, tables, and so on, but it was only TextBoxes and Shapes. You worked in Word just the way your work in InDesign, which is obviously not the right way.

The reason why your template is really popular is – IMHO – that it looks really professional, and it’s really pretty, you did a great job on that.

I’m really sorry to say that, but the Word version is (to put it “nicely”) useless (unless you want to use it exactly as is). I wish you took my opinion seriously and worked on the Word version to improve it, but as you said your template is really popular and you probably do not care about it, as long as it sells. Which is definitely one way to do it.

I have 2 questions: (1) Most of the comments I read reported the user having problems with the file on the Word version or Office 365(don’t know what that is???) but I work solely on InDesign, would that be a problem? (2) The client I want to send this proposal lives in a different continent, so is there a way to have them sign a PDF version of if electronically?

Hi Jmondesir, the Word problem has been fixed now. The problem was an incompatibility between mac and pc version of Word. This wouldn’t affect you if you work in InDesign anyway.

PDF signing, whilst not set up in the template, you can do this by inserting interactive elements from the InDesign menu.

Hi, file formats are clearly listed on the product listing. They are Microsoft Word and Adobe Indesign.

Great Work Kenny, very useful template, I love it.

Actually I’m experiencing a few issues, editing the template with InDesign CS6 on OSX:

The “your logo” seems to be editable only on the cover. In the other pages the image it’s not even selectable.

Same thing with the page numbers and the Magic Ninja Fish text is not directly editable for me.

Everything else is just fine.

Got any clues?

Hi, this is covered in the text file. But you need to edit the Master Page to change these items as they are global an occur on all pages apart from the cover.

Thank you that’s great, I’ve missed the second text file in the other folder.. Sorry, just one more thing.. this sounds even more stupid but I haven’t figured it out yet: How do I change the background color in the timeline’s table cell? ;-D
