Pencil drawing styles for Photoshop that look like you have drawn them by hand; an original and unique variety of 10 artistic styles, some inspired by simple retro style magazine print illustration and others by letterpress printing. They will enhance any project where you want a friendly, minimal, hand-drawn effect on your text or shapes.

They were created at 160dpi resolution and work best on larger text where the fine sketchy detail is not lost. Just change the percent slider scale for pattern and stroke for the best detail at your working resolution.

The patterns are the main features and are ALL TRANSPARENT with subtle other effects, so the colors are set in the text.

The PSD enables you to edit each style any way you like. The darker the colour you choose, then the higher the opacity setting to show the pattern.

While experimenting with these styles, i found that a whole range of comic book effects can be achieved after rasterizing a style layer and playing around with serious ‘smart sharpening’.
