Yes, you can. Go to Layout -> Pages and choose Insert pages, there you can choose which master page you want to base it on.

otto do you do design works? can you email me on or let me know how to contact you, thanks

Hi Otto, thanks for the great template. One question – I hope you still support the template – sometimes, when I change the layout of the text, for instance from rag to justification, all the text is marked in yellow! The colour is not printes, but I am a bit panicking waiting for an explosion or something like this :) Could you explain the colouring? Thanks in adavance!

The yellow marking means that the ‘keep’ rules (keep heading 1 with the next two lines, for example) can not be held. It isn’t really a problem and you can turn this highlighting off if you prefer. Check here:

Thank you indeed for the explanation – and for the link to the forum, which is of course quite useful for future works in InDesign.

Can I use this with the trial version?

Hi mimieheart, Yes, you can.

HI, when I downloaded the file it came out as PDF file. How can I convert it into a Indesign file?

Hi mimieheart, The PDF file is the documentation. You should use the .indd file in the folder ‘CS5’.

I can open the file in Indesign but I cannot edit it. It seems locked

Hi Anneshie,

You are probably trying to edit Master items on the regular pages. To edit those, you have to go to the Master page first, see this screenshot:

The documentation has this explained in more detail.

Every time I try to edit the header and footer in the Master page 0 it disappears. If I try to add another text box, it only appears if I drop it so low that the text gets cut off. This only occurs if I use “letter” for the page size. Since I am in the US, I would like to see if this can be fixed to work with letter sized documents

Hi ilshriner, I think you need to make the text boxes a bit bigger. The text is aligned to the baseline, see this screenshot:

I have to say that I can’t officially support Letter size, as this gives all kinds of issues with things not aligned as intended. However, you can always try yourself :-)

Can I print this to 8.5×11”?

Hi ilee1123, this template is A4 only.

classy design

Hey Ottonova,

thanks a lot for this awesome Template. It’s worth every penny. I’m working in CS 5.5 (in newbie mode) and encounter a problem whenever I want to move/delete/overwrite the “Pull Quotes” as I can’t even “touch” them. They do not show up in the “Layers Section” nor on the Master Page as they seem to belong to those “Grep Style Elements” you mentioned in the documentation.

How can I overwrite the placeholder text/move the “Pull Quote” box/hide them or delete the whole thing?

Thank you very much, Greetings from Germany, JP.

Got it. Had to zoom quite close to pick up the right frame(s) and then I were able to move and/or delete them.

Great, thanks for explaining.

Mooi werk! Check mijn nieuwe magazine template: [Link removed]
