Hi! it looks nice but i transform text into neon brushes design and it makes me spaces in letters that aren’t in data and thats what I dont want :/ how to fix it, please?
Thanks for picking up the pack! the brushes aren’t designed for applying to type and this will result in some unwanted lines. I would suggest you draw the type using the Pen tool instead.
Hi, does this brush set work with fonts if i create outlines? Thanks
Hey @Fontupdesign, yes, it will be you’ll need to be very careful with what fonts you use – they will need to be very simple without complex curves and jagged edges. I would recommend tracing over a font as an easier, better alternative. Please let me know if you need to know anything else. Thanks!
Great – i have downloaded the lasenter font from DaFont designed for neon writing which i believe will be fine. https://www.dafont.com/lasenter.font
This font looks like it would work pretty well although I couldn’t say for sure without testing it. If you apply it to the expanded type then it will place neon tubing around the outside of the letter, not the centre. This is why I would recommend the tracing method.
Sorry JRChild, I was just gift hunting via a wishlist and thought this was something physical. is there a way I can gift this download?
Hi @ecm112, Thanks for buying the pack! I’m happy for you to pass the file on. Does that help?
very good job) thank you)
I’m glad you like them @Bohdan_Bevz !
Hello,
i have just purchased your “brush” set. I am confused because I thought it was actually a brush. At the moment I can only use the “Neon-Brush” within the opened .eps-file wich I downloaded! And that was not how it is descirbed.
I am using CS5
Please advice?
In addition: how do you make round edges? for example, your letter “N”. How did you create it? If I use the pen-tool, it makes a sharp connection between the 1st and 2nd line, but yours is round.
Hi Ardanaru,
Thanks for buying the brushes! these are most definitely brushes – you can transfer them between documents by doing the following -
Open your new document and then access the right-hand corner menu and select ‘Open Brush Library>Other Library’ and locate the AI product file (please note that this only works with AI files and will not work with EPS’- you can re-ave any EPS’ as AI before you do this).
RE: the corner on the ‘N’. I rounded it off slightly. Check the ‘Examples’ layer of the product file to see this.
If you need any further help please don’t hesitate to contact me through the email address provided in the instruction document.
Thanks again!
Jeremy
My download didn’t include CS1 and CS5 versions. Just CC. Can you get back to me and send over CS5 version? Thanks.
Hi Totallynotjohnson,
thanks for buying the brushes. I’ve just double checked the download and it does contain the CS5 version. It’s possible that the file didn’t download properly for you. Please could you try again and if this doesn’t work let me have you email address and I’ll send it directly.
Thanks,
Jeremy
Thanks Paolon!
Hey, looks amazing. However when I try to load the plugin I receive an error that the plugin was made by a newer version and it opens it as a blank page instead showing the content. https://s9.postimg.org/4w1k6qwv3/Screen_Shot_2016_08_23_at_11_41_26_AM.png Even when I try load through the Brush Library I get an empty brushes window.
Hey Shillo, Thanks for buying the brushes! Which version of Illustrator are you using? Three are different files for different versions.
If you’re using CS1,2,3 or 4, use the file with the ending with ‘_CS1’ If using CS5 or 6 use the file ending with ‘_CS5’ If using CC, use the file ending with ‘_CC’.
Good one J!
Thanks Steven!
