Amazing! Bookmarked :)

Very nice layout, well done

Thank you, guys. :)

Well done, great composition

Wow – Impeccable!!!

Is there any chance you can offer this in a PSD ?

As far as I know, I’d have to rebuild it from scratch for Photoshop. I don’t feel like doing that, really. Moreover, there are so many advantages of working with InDesign on a newsletter like this: page numbering, master pages, text flow over multiple boxes, far superior typography handling, paragraph and object styles, anchored objects, just to name a few… Sorry to disappoint you, stevebluck.

ok I’ll donwload the free trial of InDesign. Cheers.

No way to have this design in PSD ! Indesign is so much better to work. Geert this template is awesome and beautifuly created. Congrats! I felt the font size was a little to big for me but that’s just a preference. Thanks.

You’re right. InDesign definitely is the way to go for stuff like this. Font-size is just a preference indeed, remember to tweak Paragraph Styles to change things globally.

Thank you! :-)

Having problems embedding fonts included in this – Monika Italic – it says there are embedding restrictions…so I’m unable to export to pdf…

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Really? Could it be that the licence for the Monika font change since the creation of this file?

I bought and used this design for our employee newsletter. Got many compliments and I think the boss is pleased! Glad I found it – Jeanne

Thank you, Jeanne. Always nice to hear these stories. :-)

I’m new to InDesign and I’m having a problem getting the Monika font on the PDF file. Is there a font license restriction?

Hi, no restriction that I know of. I had no trouble saving it as a PDF .

I had the same problem with the Monika Italic font used in “Welcome”, “Did you know.”, “City Trip”, etc in the template text. It’s the real scripty font… Anyway the problem with Monika Italic is that it is free, but it cannot be embedded within a pdf so sending it to a printer via this method wasn’t possible for me. Also couldn’t find anywhere to buy the font. I searched and found Mr. Canfields font is almost identical. Cost me $45, but it makes this template shine. Well worth the one time cost. Now InDesign doesn’t give me a warning that it couldn’t embed the font. What confused me a little was that if I ignored the warning the pdf looked fine (on my computer), but when I took it to another computer without Monika Italic installed, it used a substitute font which didn’t look good. Therefore I knew the embedding wasn’t happening for sure. Hope this helps people and doesn’t discourage use of this template. It really does rock

Thanks for the info. Good to know that about the Monika font.

Hey man. I love this template!

Do you have a U.S. Letter version available? Or would you be available to hire to modify it?

Thanks!

It should not be that hard to adjust the size slightly.

Also, check out the InDesign Help docs. They’re full of practical information. Give it a shot. Thanks! ;-)

Scrumptious job!
