FYI, Oil Paint is wonky in Photoshop 2019 and because of how Adobe messed up when it put the filter back. If you have an older version of Photoshop (like CS6), it works great. I’m using CS6 specifically for anything I want to create with the Oil Paint filter (like this action) and other things that Adobe took out or messed up. It’s easy to then open the image in PS 2019 and go from there. Pretty much like what I have to do when I create a certain look in other apps and software (like Jixipix or Topaz, or Painnt).

Hello everyone, Running into same issue as PhilDanielsAuthor with CC2020 when I have the oil painting filter. Have there been any other resolutions on this subject? Have a good day.

Hmm. Have to say the help file is really limited, no youtube link support either. Running this in CS3 of course it wont work, but also in cc 2019 it doesnt work either, says the oil paint plugin isnt there, which if course it is. So I guess this ONLY works with CS6 which is a bit poor to be honest. I note the update is recent and it says ‘minimum CS6’ version required, indicating it should work in cc 2019. Unless your action calls for the oil paint filter and they renamed it in cc 2019 so your action is broken? Perhaps you can release an update please since Ive only just bought it

Still says the command oil paint plugin is unavailable. A little window pops up once the action play gets to the oil paint plugin line, early on in the script. I can only assume there is some wording incorrect with 2019cc for the name of that plugin. I can promise its there, I can open the oil paint filter directly myself on images and other action scripts are using it fine.

Can you play paint plugin on your image, and then you play the action from the third step. if you don’t get it please contact me at psangerp@gmail.com, i will send screenshots to illustrate how to do it
