Hi there, I have followed all your instructions and still cannot get this to run. I get always the message the command cutout is not currently available. I´m using the newest photoshop version. Pleas help me.

Sorry, I have forgotten to set my picture to 8 bit and to load as a jpg. Now everthings works fine!

Thanks for the feedback)

I have followed all your instructions and still cannot get this to run all the way through I have sent you my file through In fact I have several of your actions and as yet have not been able to get any of them to work. I am running CC2020 and have reset preferences, please help

Hi! Thanks for message and psd file. I see your problems:

1. You must select your “Layer 0” and click Layer – New – Layer from Background…
2. You must select and paint over “profactions” layer to select some focus area.

And try play action again…

Hello, I downloaded this from envato elements and the Zip File only had the Action and Brush file – not the Pattern file. Where do I get that from?

Hi! Thanks for question. But Uniqum action don’t need (include) patterns for work. Only .atn (action) and .abr (brushes) files

Hi I am using the latest version of CC and I have checked that I have installed everything correctly. The action will run for a little while then is says ‘The Command MAKE is currently not available’ Please can you advise I have tried everything that has been suggested in the comments and also with different photos and I’ve watched the video. So I’m at a loss what to do. Please help.

Hi! First of all, please check you have install the action brushes. If not, please drug Uniqum.abr file to your PS and try again play action.

Also, you can send me your PSD (and/or Photoshop screen when the action stopped at first) to profactions@gmail.com, so I can test your project. Thank you for your time!

Hello. Why do I get the b/w result? I need a color here. Thanks.

Hi! Thanks for message! First of all, please check you have installed the action brushes and patterns. If not, please drug patterns and brushes to your PS and try again. Thank you very much for your time!

Hi I have followed everything as you have said but after the software begins to run it stops and says ‘make’ not available. Please can you help?

Hello! Please note: the action has two action modes (please see your Action panel) for different PS versions. You must use second version if your PS is CC2015, CC2017 or CC2018

Also, you can send me your PSD (and/or Photoshop screen when the action stopped at first) to profactions@gmail.com, so I can test your project. Thank you for your time!

Thank you so much for your speedy response and all of your help. The action is working perfectly now. I was selecting the wrong mode, I did not understand that I needed to select the section part of the action which was the correct one for my version of Photoshop. Thanks again my image looks beautiful and it’s a very beautiful action. :-)

Thank you so much for great feedback! Be free to contact me with any questions in the future :)

Hi, I just emailed you my PSD as I can’t figure out why none of the commands are available? Would appreciate any help:)

Hi! I am sure we will quickly find the cause of the problem. I opened your file and saw only your image. This will not work with the action. You must prepare your psd and Photoshop for the action.

You can find all instructions in Helper.txt file (in action archive) and in this video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Hq9aptdiFg&t

And I prepared ReadyToUse.psd file for you. Please try it. But don’t forget install not only action file, but brushes file too. Thank you very much for your time!

The video link is no longer active. I can’t seem to get past the first “make.” My photo is set as Background, it’s RGB, 8 bits. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi! Thank you for message. Video link is OK and available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Hq9aptdiFg&t. First of all, please send me your PSD to profactions@gmail.com. And I reccomend you to reset your PS preferences. Because this is usually the main reason of “make” error. Thank you very much for your time!

Hi profactions,

I just purchased Uniqum. I’m using Photoshop CC 2017. The action makes a beautiful sketch/painting style result, but I noticed that the color is very washed out / faded looking, compared to the original image. Your examples on the action page and also the examples I watched in your video seem to have a much brighter color palette that resembles the original image.

How can I get “normal” color just like in your examples? Thanks!

Hi! Thank you very much for your question. Please, turn off “Color Adjustments” folder or “Contrast” layer.

Hmm, the colors still seem to be off, even when I turn both of those layers off. Can I send you the psd file to have you inspect it?

Of course! Please send me your project and I will check. Thank you for your time!

The instructions for RobGrame really solve my problems . Thanks a lot pal. You was really great !!!

Thank you very much for your feedback and RobGrame instructions!! :)

Just for information. I have PS 2015.1 Release. In this release if you dont the Rob Instructions, you will get many problems !! the key is the choose of brushes set. Thanks

Nothing works!!! Tried everything on this thread and still no joy!

Hi! Thank you for comment. Before run the action, I reccomend you to watch Uniqum video tutorial (http://youtu.be/_Hq9aptdiFg) and read Helper.txt file (from archive you downloaded). And first of all, please check, your new layer called “profactions” and your original photo set as Background (Layer -> New -> Layer from Background). You can also send me your layered PSD to profactions@gmail.com. I will check. Thank you very much for your time.

Hi! I tested your project and found several mistakes:

1. You must use RGB images and 8bit color mode in Photoshop. Your image was CMYK.

2. You must set your photo as the Background (Layer -> New -> Layer from Background). You image wasn’t.

I corrected your PSD and attached my files for you. Please try ReadtToUse.psd. Thank you very much for your time!

UPDATES:
1. Absolutely new color adjustments have been added
2. Algorithm has been optimized, it became about 5-7% faster

Hi Profaction. I had this action for awhile now. Was working good on CC2015. But since I’ve updated to CC2017, not so much. Are you going to make some adjustments so it will work PS latest version ? Or do I have to do something to make it work ? Thanx

Hi! All Profactions actions (included Uniqum) work fine with all Photoshop versions since CS3 (include latest CC2015 and CC2017). They all have two modes – for Photoshop CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6, CC, CC2014 and for Photoshop CC2015, CC2017+. Please re-download from GR and re-install latest Uniqum version on your Photoshop. Please use an appropriate version for your updated PS. Thank you for your time!

Please, uniqum action is not working well in the 2017 version of Photoshop, do I have to do some updating?

The problem was the user, “I” is working very well, sorry

Works perfectly!

Thank you very very much for feedback!

Hi, I am also using CC 2017 and am unable to produce a single image. Please can you share your recommendations for memond77. Thank you

Please use an appropriate version for your PS. And please check your new layer called “profactions” (it was medmond77 mistake). By the way, you can send me to profactions@gmail.com your PSD – I will check. Thank you for your time!

I am using CC 2017. I am also unable to produce a decent image based on the numerous issues with tools unavailable. I have followed the instructions from robgrame above perfectly and the success rate is only about 25%. Emailing you my file(s) is not optimal, so first please post what the common errors you are finding? Again, the above instructions do not work for me every time. I am also having this issue with new Architectum from you.

Hi! Thanks for your message! To help you, I must see you project. Please send me to profactions@gmail.com your PSD with only two layers – your original photo (set as Background) and new layer (called “profactions”). I am sure we will quickly find the cause of the problems. Thank you for your time!

Email sent.

Hi! I sent you email with files and my clearest recommendations. Thank you very much for your time!

Hi please help. I can’t get how to reset preferences on Mac. I tried to press down Command + option + shift and still does not show anything. is there any other alternative way to do this? Also, your youtube link below does not seem functioning. It says ‘404 error found’. Thanks. chansbov@gmail.com

Hi! Thanks for your message. Youtube link is ok. Please send me your PSD to profactions@gmail.com. I will check your file. Thank you for your time!

I followed the instructions from robgrame (thanks, btw) and it works!!! I now have a lovely image.

Now it is not working because of the “expand” command not working. Any ideas why?

My mistake. I had create a duplicate layer not a blank layer. Now it works. I have put instructions on my blog at www.hopaboard.wordpress.com.

Thank you so much!

Hi,

unfortunately I have the same issue already mentioned by other guys. I keep receiving a dialog box message “The command select is not currently available”. I followed all instructions, i.e. I have background layer, then created a new layer, named profactions, and I’ve brushed over it. It happens with any photo.

I have Photoshop version 2015.5.1 and I’ve downloaded the PS action on August 22, so I’m sure I have latest version available.

P.S. I happens also with Da Vinci PS actions

Please advise

Thanks in advance

Hi! First of all, please send me your layered psd to profactions@gmail.com. I will test your project. We will quickly find the cause of the problem. Thank you very much for your time.

Hi Profactions

Thanks for quick reply. I believe I solved all he issues I had with both actions (Uniqum and DaVinci). It was my fault.

Probably on the HOW TO USE THE ACTION section of the helper file I suggest to specify to load the brushes that comes with the action before running the action. i.e. something like this:

1. Open a photo to work with Photoshop

2. Leave the photo layer locked and set as the Background.

3. Create a new layer above the background layer called “profactions”. Don’t forget to do it!!!

4. Next hit b on the keyboard to get your brush tool out.

5. With the “profactions” layer selected, brush onto the areas of your photo that you want to apply the effect to (use any color soft brush).

6. Right click anywhere over the canvas to bring up the brushes panel.

7. Click on the top right hand corner icon in the brushes panel to reveal the drop down menu. Select Replace Brushes

8. Now choose the “Uniqum_Brushes.abr” file that was included in the download.

9. Now play the action (make sure to use the proper version in relation to the Photoshop version you have installed)

Thanks again.

Really nice work indeed with these actions!!

Wow!! :) Thank you very much for your constructive feedback!

Uniqum has been updated up to latest Photoshop CC2015.5.1 version (released on 10th august 2016). All buyers will recive Profactions email regarding item update.

If you already use Photoshop CC2015.5.1 – please replace your existing action, restart Photoshop, re-download updated version of the action from GR (here: https://graphicriver.net/downloads) and re-install it.

If you still use Photoshop CC2015.5.0 – please update your Photoshop up to the latest version CC2015.5.1, because first release of Photoshop CC 2015.5.0 has bugs. After that, please replace your existing action, restart Photoshop, re-download updated version of the action from GR (here: https://graphicriver.net/downloads) and re-install it.

If you use Photoshop CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6, CC, CC2014, CC2015 – you can ignore this update or install it – the result of the action doesn’t change, both versions will work properly.

Please contact me profactions@gmail.com, if you have any difficulties or questions. Thank you very much for your time!
