If you’re sure that you followed all the steps correctly but for some reason, you’re still experiencing issues with the action, please follow this troubleshooting guide to fix the most common issues. This is a universal guide that may be applied to any action by Eugene-design. Please note, that some of the steps included below, work only for certain actions and may be not actual for the other actions.

Error: ‘The command “Select” is not currently available’

Make sure that you created a new layer, named it ‘area’, and painted over the focus area.

Make sure that you loaded the brushes file. Starting from Photoshop CC 2020 brushes and patterns were changed. You can learn how to load it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaYUPycjUug If you’re using Mac, please read the instructions below the video.

Make sure that the layer with the image has a Background view. It should be named ‘Background’ and should be locked. If it’s not, select the layer with the photo and go to Layer->New->Background from Layer.

Error: ‘Warning: No pixels are selected’

Make sure that you painted a focus area on layer ‘area’.
