Slava Smelovsky is a part of Grundik+Slava. Grundik+Slava are the collaboration between two electronic musicians and sound-artists Grundik Igor Kasyansky and Slava Smelovsky. They got together in 1994 in Tel-Aviv and quickly emerged as the key figures in the Israeli experimental electronic music scene. Grundik and Slava have released several CD’s in Israel and Germany. Their record “Polise” was voted “best Israeli electronic album of the year” by major Israeli newspapers Maariv and Ha-Aretz in 2000. Grundik has moved to New York and duo continues its activity as an international project. They worked together with musicians Chaos as Shelter, Ambidextrous, Victoria Hanna, sculptor Avi Seton, multimedia artist Hagar Goran, video-artists Eugene Merman, Max Tigay, filmmakers Gabriele Zamparini, Pearl Gluck and dancer Ximena Garnica among others. Duo composed music for several films, plays, installations and multimedia projects.
